We are a peer-credentialed, non-profit society of professionals who are involved in the assessment and treatment of brain-related phenomena and are interested in studying brain-behaviour relationships throughout the lifespan. Our aim is to support those in the region who contribute to and/or are interested in neuropsychology, to maintain standards in neuropsychological practice, and to stimulate interest in neuropsychology.
We do this through peer support, professional development, and professional advocacy. We value evidence-based service, reliable and valid research, cultural competency, and professional safeguarding.
As a professional society, we are dedicated to building a community for competent neuropsychological practice in the region, to advance neuropsychology as an integral part of the healthcare system, to generate and disseminate knowledge of brain-behavior relationships, and to increase accessibility to ethical and effective neuropsychological services. Dubai Prospective members may apply by sending an email to neuropsychologysocietyuae@gmail.com, which includes their CV, a professional profile (bio or description of their background and practice), copy of their license, copy of their degrees, and reasons for their interest in becoming a member. The appropriate membership category is assigned on a case-by-case basis considering the applicants credentials and alignment with the Society’s Standards and Guidelines. The final decision will be communicated to the applicant via email within 30 calendar days.
