ABOUT ME/BIO

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a dual specialization in both child and adult psychology. My training is grounded in an intercultural approach, which offers a unique perspective during therapy sessions. This allows me to consider the profound impact of cultural context on each individual’s experiences, whether they are children or adults. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by EMDR Europe and have extensive experience in trauma-focused therapy. Additionally, I have undergone a five-year psychoanalysis process, as I deeply believe that understanding others begins with understanding oneself.

HOW I CAN HELP YOU
For my child patients :

I use a holistic, child-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that multiple factors contribute to a child’s symptoms or distress. My process begins with a thorough assessment of key areas: the child’s environment (school, friendships, caregivers), developmental milestones (language acquisition, motor development, etc.), personal history, and any potential transgenerational influences.

In therapy, it’s essential for the child to fully understand why they are attending sessions and the goals of our work together. I prioritize involving the child as an active participant in their healing process, ensuring they are aware of and engaged in the therapeutic journey.

The modalities I use are tailored to the child’s needs and may include Adaptive Information Processing (EMDR-based), play therapy, and art therapy. Each approach is selected to support the child’s emotional and psychological growth in a way that resonates with them.
WHAT I SAY TO PEOPLE WHO FEEL NERVOUS OR HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THERAPY/ASSESSMENT
There’s no right or wrong reason to seek therapy. Sometimes, it’s about addressing signs or symptoms like anxiety, phobias, or panic attacks. Other times, it’s navigating difficult moments such as the loss of a loved one, a breakup, or a career change. Big life transitions—starting a business, marriage, divorce, or becoming a parent—can also lead us to seek support. And, of course, therapy can be a space to process traumatic experiences, such as violence or abuse.

But therapy isn’t only for the hard times. It can also stem from a desire to grow—whether that’s overcoming fears like public speaking, improving self-care, tackling passivity, or simply wanting to create positive change.

At its core, what matters most is the willingness to better understand ourselves and, at times, the people we care about most, like our children. Therapy is a gift we give ourselves—a journey of self-discovery.

I would love to connect with you!
