I am Dr Shradha Billawa, a UK-trained Counselling Psychologist with over 10 years of experience across public and private mental health services and organisations in the UK and UAE. I work with adolescents (15+) and adults, offering therapeutic support and specialist psychological assessments.
My approach is culturally attuned, and trauma informed, drawing on EMDR, CBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and relational models. This allows me to personalise sessions for individual’s needs, values, and professional contexts. I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, identity concerns, and relational difficulties. I have a strong understanding of how sustained stress, responsibility, and organisational demands impact performance and emotional wellbeing, and am attentive to how workplace systems can influence mental health.
I work collaboratively to support clients build clarity, resilience, and more sustainable ways of functioning. I bring the same, developmentally informed approach to working with younger people, and I acknowledge the pressures of academics, relationships, identity formation, and their wider social worlds.
I have a particular interest in women’s health, and how life stages interact with cognitive functioning, emotional regulation, and sense of identity across work, home, relationships, and broader social contexts. I support clients in understanding these experiences and developing ways of working that align with both their health and values. I draw on my organisational experience to understand how workplace cultures and expectations affect women’s wellbeing, collaborating with senior leaders to implement changes that support sustainable, inclusive work environments. I am a specialist in using neuro-affirming approach to understand how neurodivergence intersects with women’s health, professional identity, and leadership.
Alongside therapeutic work, I offer psychologically informed, reflective support that many clients experience as bridging the gap between coaching and therapy, especially when navigating leadership roles, career transitions, or identity shifts within complex professional environments.
