Micheal Salameh is a bilingual Arabic and English speaking licensed psychologist based in Dubai and registered with the Community Development Authority (CDA). He holds an MSc in Psychology from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, and works with adult individuals and couples across a broad range of emotional, relational, and professional concerns.
His areas of focus include anxiety and stress, burnout and workplace pressure, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, couples therapy, self-esteem, identity-related concerns, grief and loss, career-related challenges, life transitions, and concerns related to sex and intimacy.
Micheal takes an integrative and evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities according to each client’s needs and goals. His training and clinical approach incorporate Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, Adlerian Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
His work with couples is grounded in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to strengthening relationships, improving communication, managing conflict, and rebuilding trust and emotional closeness. Micheal has completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and welcomes couples from diverse backgrounds and relationship structures. He is also a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP), allowing him to support individuals and couples navigating concerns around intimacy, sexuality, and connection.
Before transitioning into psychology, Micheal spent several years in the corporate world, an experience that gave him firsthand insight into workplace stress, burnout, performance pressure, and career uncertainty. This continues to inform his work with professionals navigating demanding careers and major life transitions.
At the heart of Micheal’s approach is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process built on empathy, curiosity, warmth, and respect. He aims to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where clients can speak openly, better understand the patterns beneath their difficulties, and develop greater clarity, emotional resilience, self-understanding, and more meaningful connections in their lives.
