With a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and a unique background, I bring a profound understanding of different cultures and their impact on an individual’s mental and emotional well-being.
Ethnically from Kazakhstan and raised in Germany, I have experienced firsthand the complexities of navigating multiple cultures. This background has given me valuable insights into the challenges and strengths that individuals from diverse backgrounds encounter. I recognize the importance of culturally sensitive and inclusive therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s specific needs.
Having worked as a school counselor, I have had the privilege of supporting and guiding individuals of all ages through various challenges, further enhancing my ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Drawing from my personal experiences, which include overcoming challenges such as co-dependency and addiction, I believe in the power of empathy and relatability in therapy. By sharing my own experiences, I create a safe and supportive environment that fosters trust, understanding, and growth.
As a mother of two wonderful children and being in a loving relationship with my husband for over two decades, I have firsthand knowledge of the joys and struggles that come with parenting and maintaining a long-term commitment. My own battle with postpartum depression has deepened my compassion for individuals facing similar challenges and has become a driving force behind my dedication to supporting parents and families.
At My Conscious Mind Mental Health Center, I primarily utilize the Gestalt approach, a holistic and integrative therapeutic setting that focuses on the present moment and emphasizes the mind-body connection. Through this approach, I assist clients in exploring unresolved traumas, finding self-awareness, and developing new coping mechanisms for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
In addition to Gestalt therapy, I am also proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), two evidence-based approaches that have proven effective in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. These therapeutic modalities provide practical tools and strategies to help clients reframe negative thoughts, manage emotions, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
As an EMDR therapist, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into my practice. EMDR is a powerful therapeutic technique that facilitates the processing and resolution of traumatic experiences. Through bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps, EMDR helps individuals reprocess traumatic memories and alleviate distressing symptoms, promoting healing and well-being.
