Dr. Fekreya Arjamand is a Clinical Psychologist from the United Arab Emirates, and has been practicing in various settings in the field of psychology for over 20 years. She obtained her graduate degree from the USA, and is licensed to practice in the states of California and New York, as well as in Dubai. Throughout her extensive experiences, she has served as a psychologist in outpatient and inpatient settings, child consortium, drug addiction units, and university counseling centers. She has worked with people of all ages who suffer from various psychological issues such as depression, anxiety, domestic violence, child abuse, trauma, human trafficking, anger management, family conflict, and relationship difficulties and divorce. Therapeutic Approach Dr. Fekreya has had intensive training in Gestalt Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and is highly experienced in with working in multi-cultural environments. Educational and Professional Background Dr. Arjamand was awarded her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D) from Wright State University, School of Professional Psychology (WSU, SOPP). Following her intensive training she did her internship at Michigan State University, counseling center. In addition, she completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at WSU, in psychiatric, inpatient and forensic unit, and Male responsibility program (MRP), in which she worked with families and minorities. Dr. Arjamand is certified as Gestalt therapist. Currently she is working as a consultant at Erada Center for Rehab In Dubai. Previously she worked as an advisor to the CEO at Dubai Healthcare City Authority, Regulatory office, Director of Professional Licensing and clinical affairs department. She also worked as a Consultant at Family development Foundation in Abu-Dhabi Dubai, Dubai Peadquarters as a Clinical Psychologist in Drug and Rehabilitation center, and women Prison. In addition, she worked at Dubai Foundation for Women and Children as a psychological services manager. Until recently, she was a consultant for Ministry of Community development.
