Dr Amna is an Emirati psychologist licensed under the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) and the Department of Health (DOH). She holds a BSc in psychology from the Higher College of Technology (HCT ) and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). She was educated and trained in the United Kingdom, where she earned her Doctoral degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nottingham. Dr Amna has a person-centered approach and tailors interventions to client-specific needs. She believes in empowering her clients and working collaboratively in a culturally-sensitive manner. She mainly utilizes principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Dr Amna has a special interest in working with different mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorders, panic disorders, phobias, and trauma. Dr Amna is passionate about raising mental health awareness in the community. She helps people in their self-exploration and toward healing.
