What I say to people who feel nervous or have concerns about therapy/assessment
I believe that in a perfect world we would all have a therapist to talk to, whenever we need to. While I am deeply aware of the stigma associated with therapy, especially in certain cultures, I am excited to see that this is changing. Hopefully this will make it easier to reach out to a mental health professional for a consultation in the same way you would visit your physician. I also hope we can demonstrate an openness to therapy to our children so they consider it as a positive health choice if they need to talk to someone.
