About Me/Bio
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Plymouth UK. As a practitioner with over 20 years experience, I work respectfully and collaboratively with you to help you achieve your own unique therapeutic goals. I have extensive experience assisting people with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, abuse, and trauma as well as addressing difficult family relationships. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodiverse clients and their families. People seek the support of therapy for many different reasons. Those experiencing stress or trauma often feel overwhelmed, seeking strategies to help regain a sense of emotional stability. Others look to therapy to address unhelpful patterns in their relationships and/or behaviours that might be preventing them from achieving their broader life goals. As a seasoned practitioner, with many years’ experience, I draw on a range of evidence based therapy approaches that include CBT, ACT and solution based therapy to meet the unique needs and goals of each client, whilst providing a safe and nurturing space to support them throughout the process of change and growth. I have completed Gottman training for working with couples. Through online sessions this process of change can happen in a setting that is familiar and convenient to you and in a way that can prevent some of the barriers to therapy that often stop us from making our first step towards change.
