About Me/Bio
I am a Neuropsychologist with an experience in the Middle East (Lebanon) and in Europe (France). Licenced in France by the ARS (Agence Regionale de Santé) and in the UAE by the Dubai Health Authorities (DHA). Prior to joining The Brain Matters Center, due to my experience in scientific research in clinical psychology, neuropsychology and fundemental neurosciences, I gave lectures at the Toulouse II University in neuroanatomy and clinical neuropsychology for bachelors and masters degree students. I also intervened as a Neuropsychologist in different services: psychiatry, neurology and geriatrics with both inpatients and outpatients. I am currently working on obtaining my PhD with main focus on autobiographical memory and sense of identity. I provide thourough and comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments. The domains I mainly work with are: traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, neuro-evolutive diseases (dementias), cerebrovascular diseases (strokes, aneurysms…) and psychiatric disorders. I recently started working with children with neuro-developmental disorders (Autism spectrum disorder, learning diabilities, ADHD…). As a clinical psychologist with a speciality in neuropsychology, I strongly believe in the importance of therapy. In addition to neuropsychological assessments, I offer person centered therapy sessions (one on one or in group) as well as skill training sessions with an aim to improve quality of life by developping solution focused strategies. My approach to therapy is CBT (Cognitive-behavioural therapy) and BPT (Brief psychodynamic therapy), an approach that can help people struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders (including stress, generalized anxiety disorders, panic disorder…), health anxiety, personnality disorders, grief and loss, trauma related difficulties, self esteem and self confidence, attachement and relationship difficulties. I also propose patient therapeutic education sessions (psychoeducation) for people dealing with onset of dementia, chronic pain or illnesses and their caregivers or family members, as well as seminars on The montessory method for the elderly, reminiscence therapy and cognitive mediation, to healthcare professionals and/or natural caregivers dealing with dementia patients. I offer supervision for psychologists in training (B.S. / M.A.) as well. Services can be offered online or in person, in Arabic, English or French.
