I am a CDA licensed Psychologist with over two decades of international experience. I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from City University, London and have trained at Bellevue Hospital in New York. Before that, I completed a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from the University of Delhi, India. I specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and integrate skills from other therapeutic frameworks to suit the needs of my clients. I work with adolescents and adults. My areas of focus include, depression, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress management, relationship issues, eating disorders, behavioural issues in adolescents. My approach comprises assessing my clients’ needs within a collaborative and warm therapeutic relationship and helping them learn specific skills to manage their issues. In addition to clinical work, I have a background of research and have worked on global mental health programmes funded by institutions including Harvard University and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I have been featured on TV, radio and in digital and print media for my expertise in mental health, have co-authored a book on depression and have multiple publications in international research journals. I conduct workshops on issues such as stress management, work-life balance and parenting. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu. My experience of working in a variety of international settings enables me to effectively counsel clients from diverse backgrounds.
