ABOUT ME/BIO

As a Lebanese psychologist based in Dubai, I offer a space where you can pause, reflect, and make sense of your experiences at your own pace. My approach is relational and psychodynamic, meaning we explore together how past and present experiences shape your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Accelerated Experiential Psychodynamic Therapy (AEDP) to help you process emotions in a way that feels safe and meaningful. I see anxiety and depression as important signals that point to emotions that haven’t yet been fully experienced. Together, we will identify these signals, explore different parts of yourself and make sense of how your past experiences shape your current emotional experiences and behaviors. By walking this journey together, we will uncover and address the deeper issues that might be affecting your well-being, helping you develop healthier and more fulfilling patterns in your life.

HOW I CAN HELP YOU
I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and identity-related concerns.

I believe that therapy is about undoing aloneness—helping you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Many of us carry unprocessed emotions, painful experiences, or patterns that no longer serve us. In our work together, we will create a safe and compassionate space to explore these, making sense of your emotions and experiences.

I draw from various evidence-based approaches, including relational psychodynamic therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This means that I focus not only on understanding past experiences but also on how they shape your present life, relationships, and emotional responses. Through this process, we can work on developing healthier ways of coping, connecting, and living more authentically.

Therapy with me is a journey of self-discovery and emotional healing—not just about managing symptoms but about helping you reconnect with yourself, your needs, and your values.

If you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, difficulties in relationships, or feeling stuck, I’m here to help you navigate through it with warmth and presence.
WHY I AM SPECIALIZED IN THIS FIELD
I began my career as a dietitian, helping people with their physical health and nutrition. But as I worked with clients, I became deeply interested in their personal stories—the emotions, struggles, and past experiences that shaped their relationship with themselves and their well-being. I realized that what truly mattered to me wasn’t just behavior change, but the deeper psychological wounds and patterns that influence our lives.

This led me to shift my focus to clinical psychology, specializing in trauma therapy. Through my work in both private practice and humanitarian settings, I have seen how unprocessed trauma can shape emotions, relationships, and self-perception. Trauma is not just about what happened—it's about how those experiences continue to live inside us. My approach is centered on helping clients safely explore and process these experiences so they can move toward healing and transformation.

I have trained extensively in relational psychodynamic therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a strong focus on trauma recovery. My work is about creating a safe, attuned space where clients no longer have to carry their pain alone—where they can process their emotions, reconnect with themselves, and find a path toward growth and resilience.
WHAT I SAY TO PEOPLE WHO FEEL NERVOUS OR HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT THERAPY/ASSESSMENT
If you’re considering therapy but feel nervous, unsure, or even hesitant, you’re not alone. Many people experience feelings of discomfort, anxiety, or even shame when taking this step. It’s completely normal to wonder, “Will I be judged? What if I don’t know what to say? Will this actually help me?”

Therapy isn’t about having all the answers or knowing exactly what to say—it’s about creating a space where you can be yourself, without pressure or judgment. It’s a place to explore what’s been weighing on you, at your own pace.

I believe that struggling doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’ve been carrying a lot—often alone—and therapy is a space where you don’t have to do that anymore. If you’re feeling hesitant, that’s okay. Therapy isn’t about fixing you, because you are not broken. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, making sense of your emotions, and finding ways to move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.

If you’re feeling unsure, I encourage you to simply show up as you are. We’ll figure out the rest together.

I would love to connect with you!
