Insights Psychology DMCC is recruiting for a Lead Psychologist/Head of Department for their psychology therapy/counselling team. It's a full time role to lead a small department of Psychologists and Psychotherapists at their clinic in JLT. The majority of the caseload consists of neurodiverse young people, parents/families of neurodiverse children, and neurodiverse adults.
Duties would include:
· Liaising with referral sources and clients to triage best fit/ suitability for therapeutic intervention and making referrals to the community when appropriate.
· Clinical supervision for psychologists within the department.
· Liaising with multidisciplinary team to support families.
· The person would be expected to hold a caseload of more complex cases that may include young people/adults with mental health needs, and parenting support for families of children with social/emotional and behavioural difficulties.
This would be an ideal fit for a seasoned psychologist with a well-rounded skill set, with a good understanding of main evidence based interventions for psychological therapy, and an interest in neurodiversity and helping families. Experience in a CAMHS service and family therapy is desirable. DHA or CDA license essential. Start date August 2023.
